Global Shipbuilding Order Book Nears Record High as Chinese Yards Win Three-Quarters of New Orders

The global order book reached an estimated 203.2 million CGT as of September 2026, with Chinese shipyards securing 74% of new contracts over the past year and holding 81% of containership orders, according to BIMCO.
